This is a fantastic Consumer Brand PR Manager maternity contract, with one of the UK’s best known and loved travel operators. Based in outstanding offices in Bedfordshire, this opportunity is only a 20 minute overland train ride from Central London, or by car from North London or the surrounding home counties. The role is available on an initial 9 month contract basis, but this could be extended to 12 months subject to conditions.
This is a very exciting time to join the business which has extended its flights to include premium long haul destinations and is showcasing new, exclusive hotels and resorts opening globally in 2015. Responsibilities include:
Management of fully integrated, brand building campaigns to help drive wider awareness and consideration of holidays with both existing and new audiences
Working with the General Manager of External Communications to set the brand strategy and develop creative and fully integrated campaigns
Campaign implementation with in-house / agency team and full integration with wider marketing function and also responsible for development and line management of a team of three – with a focus on increasing internal capabilities
Manage relationships and provide brand counsel to senior stakeholders to ensure understanding of PR activity and results.
Maintain and develop excellent media and influencer relationships both inside and outside of travel and also with senior stakeholders and presenting activity and results to relevant parties across the business.
Strategic development and management of the newsroom social channels, and management of an external agency on campaigns to ensure they operate as part of an integrated communications team, drawing upon their expertise for strategic advice and operational delivery.
Management of the brand budget and monitor the external reputation of the brands and adapt style and respond to any issues accordingly.
Create statements, Q&As, social media and other communications to address incidents with the media
Attributes Required:
Experience of working with large consumer brands and developing and executing integrated consumer campaigns
Experience of working in a busy Press Office environment and of juggling business priorities
Ability to cultivate and maintain excellent relationships with the media and internal stakeholders
Experience managing a sizeable team including line management and people development
Experience of managing an agency to deliver strong results
