West Thames College is a vibrant, highly successful college, which serves the diverse communities of West London. We were graded Good by Ofsted in 2014 with Outstanding for Leadership and Management and a financial health category of Outstanding. With over 2,000 FT 16-18s, a growing Apprenticeship provision, increasing numbers of 14-16 year olds, a strong HE offer and a turnover of c£22m the college is strongly placed to continue moving forward with confidence.

Following the announcement of the retirement of our current Principal, we are looking to recruit our next Principal to ensure we meet the challenges of the ever-changing FE landscape. The successful candidate will join a college that has been on a journey of improvement based on a strong belief in our shared values.

The incoming Principal will bring excellent communication skills, a creative and innovative approach and a positive, collaborative leadership style.

With an excellent understanding of teaching and learning, innovative and responsive curriculum and the funding and financial landscape the successful candidate will have broad senior leadership experience in a relevant sector.

You will have a passion for working with young people from very diverse backgrounds and will bring the leadership skills to maximise opportunities for our students through building on our range of strong partnerships.
