Job Description
ukactive is a commercially minded but not-for-profit body comprised of members and partners from across the UK active lifestyle sector. Our focus is a long-standing and uncompromising vision to get more people, more active, more often. We are looking for a Project Manager with a track record in delivery to support our strategic projects function.
You will also be expected to have the skills to take sole responsibility for leading a portfolio of projects aimed at delivering public health benefits around the UK; ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget. This will include budget forecasting and control, detailed planning and delivery, risk management, strong stakeholder management and resource mapping capabilities.
You will specifically be leading the Let’s Get Moving (LGM) programme. LGM provides a simple pathway for physical activity that is motivating, supportive and signposts into a whole range of locally available activity-related services in the local community.
The essence of the LGM intervention revolves around behaviour change and aims to get those at risk of health issues through living inactive lifestyles into more physical activity – leading to long term behavioural change and health improvements. We do this by exploring the key barriers to people being more active within and outside of work.
You will also be aware of potential opportunities to develop the business, and have a relentless desire to do more, take on more responsibility, delivery more and achieve more.
