Project Officer – Social Inclusion (Wandsworth and Hammersmith & Fulham) – Chelsea Football Club

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES (Play Your Part):
To work closely with youth engagement services and local partners across the boroughs of Wandsworth and Hammersmith & Fulham, coordinating the delivery of our Social Inclusion programmes for 8-25 year olds within the two boroughs, in line with the requirements set out by funding providers.
Deliver a range of inclusive sports and diversionary activities within the local community including provision outside of term time and during evening and weekends.
To act as a mentor for young people, providing support, and signposting to advice and guidance services for any participant in need of expert care.
Sit on a quarterly Chelsea FC Foundation staff meeting, led by the Senior Officer, creating ideas for the Social Inclusion programme to enhance the day to day delivery of the sessions.
Lead on responsibilities for quality assurance in accordance with the needs of the individual sessions, including monitoring sessional staff performance and development.
Attend Local Strategic Partnership meetings to raise awareness of provision, and network to enhance new funding opportunities. Have an oversight of the local authority’s community strategy.

MEASURES OF PERFORMANCE (Here to Win):
Lead on the monitoring and evaluation for all Social Inclusion projects in Wandsworth and Hammersmith & Fulham in accordance with the needs of each funder, including liaison with the Premier League Charitable Fund as a ‘Views’ user.
Develop a range of initiatives to engage young people in order to sustain participation within sessions.
Ensure success stories are captured through working with Chelsea FC Foundation/Chelsea FC media staff. Complete and submit project reports at 6-month intervals, or as and when required internally or in accordance with the needs of each funder.

PERSONAL SPECIFICATION:
Qualifications:
Essential
Level 2 Sports Certification.
FA Coaching Qualification, Emergency Aid and Safeguarding Children Certificates.
Educated to degree level or have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in the industry sector.
Desirable
Teaching Qualifications (PETTL / PGCE).
Sports Leader Tutor Qualifications.
Youth Worker Qualifications relevant to the industry sector.

Experience:
Essential
Have a good understanding of the key community, youth services and school providers in Wandsworth and Hammersmith & Fulham and be able to maintain strong partnerships with main project stakeholders.
A strong knowledge of community engagement programmes specifically tailored to the provision of community activities and the ability to engage with hard to reach groups.
A knowledge of M&E and quality assurance programmes relevant to the industry sector.
Ability to manage own timetable and work flexible hours, including evenings and School holidays.

Desirable
Knowledge of the Chelsea FC Foundation.
Experience of coordinating Casual Staff & Volunteers.
Knowledge of PLCF and PLPFA funded projects.

The Employee must act to protect all young people and vulnerable adults that are in their care or attending the Company’s premises. The Employee must report any misconduct or suspected misconduct to the Safeguarding Lead.
