Reporting to the Head of Finance, this role provides an effective business partnering service and is a key part of the Finance Team’s vision to advise and support senior management in financial decision making to achieve Sport England’s strategic objectives.
You will be responsible for ensuring a holistic view of all aspects of a business with approximately £300 million of annual expenditure, understanding relevance and connections, sharing insights and influencing decisions to manage performance and risk through to the achievement of impact.
You will be a professional qualified accountant with proven ability to work collaboratively with team members and colleagues as well as manage and lead successful high performing teams within a business partnering function in a complex environment ideally in the public sector. Effective communication and analytical skills are also required with the ability to produce meaningful insightful information using a range of finance metrics that set, monitor and analyse financial performance. It is also important to be able to build and sustain collaborative relationships and successfully influence at a senior level to lead and manage Sport England’s financial strategy.
