Senior Development Manager (Maternity Cover) – Saracens Sport Foundation

Saracens Sport Foundation is the charitable arm of Saracens Rugby Club. Working across Hertfordshire and North London, our vision is to inspire our community through the values of sport, physical activity and social opportunities as a catalyst for positive change, enabling the fulfilment of potential.
The Foundation are seeking to employ a Senior Development Manager for maternity cover for a period of 11 months. The role of the Senior Development Manager is to be a strategic operational leader for the charity. The post holder will provide exceptional leadership and strategic direction, using their experience and expertise to drive the growth and improve quality. The successful candidate will be well versed in the field of Sports Development and Sport for Good projects. In turn they will be able to provide support and guidance to the Development Managers and Project Officers to ensure that we we constantly challenging the status quo.
The Senior Development Manager will be ‘hands on’ and will develop, lead and deliver against the operational and Foundation targets set out within the Foundation strategy. Furthermore, you will work closely with the other SDM’s to ensure that all projects are being managed in a way that generates cross project working.

Key roles and responsibilities to include but not limited to:
1) Senior Development Managers provide exceptional strategic leadership, they have the acumen to look at business and project performance and drive incremental growth and programme improvements
2) Provide strategic guidance and insight to the Foundation Operational Team, ensuring that business objectives are exceeded in time and within budget
3) Lead the strategic development, in close partnership with the Head of Foundation and the Chief Community Officer, of the Foundation – Exceeding all business objectives
4) An industry expert, who can support peers and staff to develop their key competencies, while ensuring staff feel valued and empowered to excel in their roles
This role is a full time role which is 37.5 hours per week and will involve some weeknight and weekend working. The company provides a time in lieu policy in which any additional work carried out on top of the base hours can be taken back.
