Play your part in GB’s Olympic Journey at a unique international event on your doorstep, where Britain’s Super Athlete’s will battle with the rest of Europe for Continental Crowns and Olympics Places!
This August, the world-renowned facilities at the University of Bath and the home of Pentathlon GB will host the 2019 Senior European Modern Pentathlon Championships.
With over 100 of Europe’s best multi-sport athletes competing in swimming, fencing, show-jumping and Laser Run action, the 6 days of competition that includes relays, qualifying and finals days, will be an amazing spectacle. This unique event will not only crown European Champions but also acts as the largest qualifying event for Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
Like all major sporting occasions, the 2019 Senior European Championships would only be possible with the help of a passionate and committed team of volunteers. Sara Heath, CEO of the sport’s national governing body which is based in Bath, said: “Our volunteers will not only support the GB athletes, but also those we are hosting from around Europe. It’s a great opportunity to experience being part of a big event, seeing behind the scenes and being up close to the action”.
