Senior Video Manager – England Rugby – London

Purpose:
• The Senior Video Manager will lead on developing and delivering a video strategy across the organisation
• The role will lead a team of video producers to deliver high quality, engaging content aligned to strategic targets
• The role will lead on establishing a fully functional archive
• The role will manage video producers within the England men and women’s camps
• The role will work very closely with other teams in the content team and wider marketing team on video strategy to support key campaigns

Accountabilities:
• Design, deliver and manage video production against key strategic targets
• Manage and lead the team to ensure high quality video production to continue to grow our digital channels
• Work with key stakeholders across the organisation to deliver video requirements
• Work across the marketing team on key strategic campaigns
• Work closely with commercial partners to improve and drive engagement with branded content
• Liaise with, brief and manage agencies, freelancers and suppliers to ensure best value and quality is provided
• Lead on ideas to keep England Rugby video content fresh, innovative and exciting to a wide, varied audience
• Delivery of workable video archive
• Lead on and help deliver possible documentary projects along with Head of Content
• Delivery of formal and ad-hoc training and support to RFU staff in video content and editing
• Actively collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the development and delivery of the current strategic, business and operational plans
• Act as an ambassador for, and promote the best interests of the RFU, including the promotion of the RFU core values and BACK culture.
• Undertake such other duties as may be required from time to time as are consistent with the responsibilities of the post and the needs of the organisation

Qualifications, skills & experience:
Essential:
• Line management experience
• Candidates should be educated to degree level standard or above or have an equivalent professional qualification in a relevant discipline
• Highly experienced in video editing, production and delivery
• Experienced in filming and editing interviews and features
• Experienced in audio production/sound engineering
• Highly adept at using desktop video production software
• Experience working to tight deadlines in a high-paced environment
• Understanding of the major digital video editing software formats and delivery platforms
• Experience in altering tone and output depending on the delivery platform
• Experienced in producing video content for a high-profile organisation, broadcaster or publication
• Wide knowledge of domestic and international rugby
• Committed to actively contributing to and building an inclusive BACK culture in your role and day to day behaviours.
