Sessional Academy Physiotherapist – Compton – Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club

Job Description
The part-time/sessional Academy therapist will be in charge of any medical requirements needed during training and matches for age groups U7 – U16 as designated by the Lead Schoolboy Physiotherapist in line with the W.O.L.V.E.S culture and philosophy.

Duties:
To be an ambassador of the W.O.L.V.E.S culture and philosophy.
To provide emergency medical treatment to schoolboy players to the best of their ability within the confines of their scope of practice (dependent upon qualifications).
To ensure they are adequately equipped to fulfil the above duties and to ensure that any medical equipment used is in good, safe working order. If equipment is not present, or is not in working order, a full time member of the medical team must be informed immediately.
To follow the instructions of senior staff and to ensure that they are present at all venues at the agreed time.
To assist other members of academy staff in safeguarding and protecting the welfare of the children at all times.
To ensure that all qualifications are up to date and that they are adequately qualified to undertake the duties being asked.
To ensure they have a good understanding of all W.W.F.C Emergency Action Plans and be confident in implementing these plans should an emergency situation arise.
Liaising with parents as required.
Reporting directly to Alex Bonney.
Any other duties at the request of the Lead Schoolboy Physiotherapist.
Ensure the well-being of academy players at all times liaising with the Club’s Head of Safeguarding on all safeguarding related matters.
Where required, complete the mandatory qualifications and relevant Continued Professional Development requirements as required by the Elite Player Performance Plan and associated governing bodies (The Football League, The Football Association).
