Key responsibilities
Maersk is moving from SharePoint 2010 to SharePoint Online and the platform needs caretaking and responsible growth. The position will be responsible for Sharepoint Online within Maersk and will work alongside the Office 365 Service Owner and the rest of the O365 team.
The Sharepoint Online SME employs expertise to deliver cost-effective and fit-for-purpose services. The SME is responsible for processes and plans which deliver the following outcomes:
– Deals with business requests and scopes the technical solution needed then works together with platform vendor to execute.
– Acts as the service owner for sharepoint online. Working together with the other service owners and the overall O365 senior service owner to define the deliverables and maintain the governance to the business users.
– Establishes all the working processes between the business and the support team at all levels of escalation and execution
– Understands the technical and business side implications of moving to O365 and can guide as to the best tool fit for purpose.
– Enforces the data governance and the data clean up / archiving as needed
– Ensures that the analytics tool is measuring the business data as required and established workshops and training
– Enforces the governance and works together with the team to ensure the most stable deliverables that give value to the business
– Reaches out to the business requestors to best understand business process needs and requirements
– Ensuring O365 / SPO best practice
– Management of the SPO platform to ensure business demands (typically effectiveness, cost-efficiency, stability and availability) are met
– Defining and applying measurable guidelines and standards (including data quality measures) to optimise the use of SPO.
– Interface with users of the content, understand their behaviours, and result expectations and help the support team deliver the needed work
– Maintenance and monitoring of complex, business critical workflows and with an eye towards cost optimisation
– Implementing organisation’s IT policies and procedures with regards to permissions, search/navigation and taxonomy
– Maintaining documentation according to organization’s standards
– Acting as daily point of contact for the area and providing (directly or indirectly) general support for enquires
We are looking for
– Proven IT experience specifically with O365/Sharepoint Online in a subject matter expert role
– Knowledge of O365/Azure a distinct advantage
