Job Description
If you have a passion for skiing and are great with people, you can use these skills as a Ski Instructor / Race Coach at Gosling Sports Park in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire. The centre’s main artificial Ski Slope is 160m long with a 40m beginner slope and kindergarten area. Just a few minutes from the A1 (M) the Gosling slope attracts skiers from a wide area. The venue holds regular ski race events at regional and national levels as well as hosting the annual London Schools Ski race plus several English Schools Ski Association (ESSKIA) events.
As a Ski Instructor / Race Coach, you’ll teach skiing and racing skills to all participants ranging from beginners to parallel skiing and experiences racers in line with the code of practice. You’ll set up the equipment for each session plus carry out inspections and undertake maintenance and repair activities.
Ideally, you’ll have experience and understanding of Skiing as well as your level 1 and/or level 2 qualification. Flexibility, punctuality and reliability are just as important as integrity, a can-do attitude and a real focus on customer service. Passion and personality will stand you in good stead too!
