The role of Asset Manager
They are currently looking for an experienced and professional Asset Manager to join in a new position to manage their current solar energy portfolio.
A self-starter and motivated solar energy operational expert, you will be leading the Asset Management function for the business, with a view to build out this function and grow a team around you as the company’s portfolio continues to expand, as it has done over the last 7 years.
As Asset Manager you will take responsibility for the operational performance and reporting of the solar energy portfolio. With technical expertise and background, you will manage the external operational contractors. You will also build an internal team with technical, operational and commercial expertise, while congruently building your own systems and processes for the function, to drive performance inputs, manage risk, and make smart and strategic commercial decisions.
About you
In order to be considered for the role of Asset Manager we would expect you to
Be degree qualified with at least 3 years’ experience in asset management within the solar energy industry in the UK.
Likely have a professional qualification in either Project Management, Accountancy, etc.
Have a thorough understanding of the legal, technical, and commercial issues related to operational solar energy projects.
Be a highly effective communicator, with the ability to succinctly explain complex technical and commercial subjects
Have a track record of successfully driving performance improvement and managing costs
Be knowledgeable in information documentation, monitoring, and reporting industry best practice, as well as have experience in systems and process development.
In return, our client offers a very competitive salary, between £50,000 – £60,000 (DOE), bonus scheme, and package. Additionally, there is every opportunity to progress and grow within a forward thinking company, and build a brand new function for the business.
