Location: To be based in the South (Individual to live or be prepared to relocate in one of the following regions- South West, South, South East).
About us
Table Tennis England is the National Governing Body for table tennis in England. With Sport England as its major funder, it is well positioned within the 2017-2021 funding cycle. The Table Tennis England Mission 2025 strategy aligns well with the Sport England strategy of Towards an Active Nation.
The function of the Development and Volunteering Department is to work closely with the traditional and core market, namely clubs, leagues, schools and volunteers. Priority areas for the organisations work within the core market include; U11 participation, Female participation and the experience and retention of adult participants. It is an exciting time for the department, with the opportunity to work closely with our clubs and leagues to diversify and grow participation across the sport through our participation programmes, TT Kidz, Bat and Chat and Back to TT.

Job summary
This is a role that comes at an exciting time with the development of key participation programmes and will provide strategic key support to clubs and leagues to ensure successful delivery of Be TT: the club and league support programme for Table Tennis England. The post holder will work with clubs, leagues, volunteers and partners aiming for a joined-up community approach using Table Tennis England products and programmes to future proof and grow participation in the sport
Key responsibilities
• Lead on strategic partnership and community work between clubs, leagues, volunteers and partners in the South area to grow participation in Table Tennis.
• Lead on the management of Be TT projects in the Southern area including monitoring, project support and insight collection.
• Deliver support to clubs and leagues to grow membership, increase participation and become more financially sustainable, through agreed strategies and plans and working with the wider community outside of the Be TT programme.
• Work closely with the National Delivery Manager to monitor partnership opportunities being driven by the participation strategy.
• Work closely with the Programmes Lead on the delivery and support on the Programmes in the South area.
• TT Kidz programme- Manage, support and recruit TT Kidz projects based in both schools and clubs as well as any future developments in the Southern area.
• Lead on the insight collection in the Southern area.
• Develop strong relationships to be able to influence key clubs, leagues and volunteers
• To take a pro-active approach in volunteer recruitment and deployment within a specified geographic area
• Work proactively to the strategic priorities of the Development and Volunteering Department to implement other development programmes, offers and targets.
• Work with clubs and leagues to ensure that inclusion is embedded into the sport.
• Support the Clubs and Leagues Manager with the delivery of the Club and Volunteer conference programme.
• Act as an ambassador and advocate of Table Tennis England.
• Undertake such duties as may be required from time to time as are consistent with the responsibilities of the post and the needs of Table Tennis England.

• Excellent time management skills, ability to multi-task and work on different projects at the same time.
• Problem solver and able to think innovatively to produce realistic and sustainable ideas for existing and future programmes
• Motivated to work remotely
• Experience of managing projects, producing and implementing programmes.
• Experience of working with a wide range of external partners.
• Excellent written skills; able to produce a wide range of written documents including reports and programme proposals.
• Excellent oral communication skills including delivering presentations.
• Great team player and able to work independently.
• Positive and can-do attitude.
• Understanding of how to use insight to influence decision making and impact reviewing programmes.
