Job Description
The Royal Yachting Association, based in Hamble, is the national governing body for all forms of boating, including dinghy and yacht racing, windsurfing, motor and sail cruising, RIBs and sports boats, powerboat racing, inland cruising and narrowboats, and personal watercraft.
The aim of the RYA’s Sport Development department is to increase regular participation in sailing and windsurfing. We are seeking a proactive, organised and flexible administrator to provide effective support to the Senior Administrator and all members of the department, ensuring successful implementation of our club development and participation programmes.
The successful applicant for this varied role will be a good communicator at all levels, with the ability to work on their own initiative and prioritise their workload. You are likely to have two to three years’ experience of working in a busy office and will demonstrate good IT skills and an eye for detail. Training will be provided on the RYA’s database and other systems. An interest in sailing, windsurfing or other sports and an understanding of voluntary clubs would be an advantage but is not essential. There may be an occasional requirement to attend promotional events outside normal office hours.
