Sport Development Senior Administrator – Royal Yachting Association

Job Description
The Royal Yachting Association, based in Hamble near Southampton, is the national governing body for all forms of boating, including dinghy and yacht racing, motor and sail cruising, RIBs and sports boats, windsurfing, inland cruising and narrowboats, and personal watercraft.
The RYA’s Sport Development department supports and promotes participation in boating in the UK. It works with clubs, commercial training centres and volunteers to increase the accessibility of boating and provides opportunities to take part to those who may not otherwise have had the chance.
We are seeking a Senior Administrator to join our Sport Development department to provide, and oversee, the efficient administration of the department to ensure successful implementation of our participation programmes, events and initiatives.
As the successful candidate your responsibilities would include, but are not limited to:
• Managing and supporting the sale of exhibitor space at the RYA Dinghy Show. Including processing exhibitor applications, allocating spaces, invoicing and preparing information for the Show Guide and App;
• Responding to general enquiries regarding all Sport Development Programmes from members of the public, clubs, training centres, RYA instructors, volunteers and RYA members;
• Supervising the Sport Development departmental company credit card, reconciling and processing the expenditure; and
• Managing the agenda, and producing the minutes, for the Participation and Membership Committee.
We are seeking a candidate who has excellent communication skills, whether that be over the telephone, in writing or face to face, and someone who has the ability to deal with a wide range of people. Exceptional customer service skills are also required for this role as is the ability to manage your time effectively, whilst prioritising your workload.
