Job Description
About the role:
Sense has an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join our Arts, Sports and Wellbeing team as our Sport & Physical Activity Coordinator. This is a full time role, working 37.5 hours per week at our Head Office in King’s Cross, London. Our key areas in this region are Greater London, Hertfordshire, Kent and Essex.
As our Sport & Physical Activity Coordinator, you will be responsible for the delivery of our Sport England funded ‘Sense, Active Together’ project. Working closely with our Sport & Physical Activity Development Manager and our National Sport Manager, you will build a network of delivery partners and sport organisations, finding the right people to lead activity sessions. You’ll also promote the project to participants, ensuring we’re connecting the right individuals with the things they enjoy.
This is a fantastic time to join Sense as we grow our programme to ensure that more people with complex disabilities have the opportunity to lead an active life.
About you:
Our ideal candidate will be proactive and solution focussed. You’ll have a strong understanding of the sporting landscape in your area, and the ability to build and maintain a network of high-quality partners and organisations. You must be comfortable working with a team who are geographically spread across the country, where communication is key, and also working independently.
It’d be great if you have an understanding of the needs of people with complex disabilities, and it’s essential that you’re able to align yourself with Sense’s values to provide the best service to the people we support.
