Job Description
As part of Team ARU, you’ll be joining a dynamic team that is focussed on achieving the ambitions of our strategy for sport. Our plan is to significantly increase the number of people engaged in sport, recreation and wellbeing activities. As Sports Club Development Officer you’ll play a key part in our efforts to continuously improve the student experience, helping to ensure that activities provided are both enjoyable and safe. You’ll work directly with all of our student-led sports clubs, raising standards, widening participation and supporting our teams to be more competitive in University competition.
With a degree or part qualified in a relevant professional qualification at degree level appropriate to the specific role being appointed to, you’ll also have demonstrable appropriate experience and evidence of continuing professional development relevant to the role. You’ll be passionate about sport, have an understanding of the various structures and organisations involved in sport in the UK and be determined to play your part in building our University’s future. Previous experience of working in a sports environment and experience of successfully co-ordinating projects using your own initiative is essential. You’ll be a highly motivated team player and you’ll demonstrate the ambition to achieve results at Anglia Ruskin.
