Sports Coaches, Fitness Coaches and Swimming Teachers – Season vacancies – Ipswich Borough Council

Job Description

Ipswich Borough Council runs the largest free-to-access summer holiday sports programme in England, delivering a range of sports and activities across our sports centres, parks, open spaces and community facilities. This provides free sport and physical activity for thousands of children and young people across the town, including free swimming. It is an exciting programme to be involved in and will make a difference to the children and young people in the town.

We are looking for seasonal coaches and activity deliverers that can help deliver these activities across the summer holidays. We will be looking for great people that are available to work a variety of hours.
You will be required to work variable hours according to the operational need of the business, sometimes at short notice, which may include weekend and bank holidays.
In particular, we are looking for instructors and teachers that can deliver:
Rugby
Basketball
Multi-Sports
Gymnastics,
Trampolining
Swimming
Athletics
Dance
Junior fitness classes
We are also particularly keen to recruit coaches that have experience in working with children and young people that have additional needs or delivering inclusive sports.
Applicants will be required to hold a relevant governing body approved qualification, be an excellent communicator, self-motivated and have coaching experience.

Day to day
Coaches will be welcome to deliver a range of activities with flexible hours to suit and depending on the demands of the programme. You will be responsible for delivering those activities in a safe and enjoyable environment.
