Location: Central London but post holder may be required to work flexibly across other university or Students’ Union sites

Then there is an exciting role for you at Arts SU, University of the Arts London Students’ Union. We are recruiting for the role of Sports Development Coordinator to engage students in athletic activities, both competitive and recreational, and opportunities that support personal and professional development while studying at University of the Arts London.
You will be responsible for developing student sports clubs within a creative university, empowering our elected Activities Officer to support relevant student groups alongside delivering training and guidance for the elected Sports Executive who oversee the running of Sports Clubs at University of the Arts London. You will help to bring students from a diverse range of creative disciplines and backgrounds together across courses and colleges to build communities through their sport, to support each other and to have fun. You will also be responsible for the running of Arts SU’s growing Elite Athlete programme. You will have the opportunity to work alongside talented student staff, supporting their development, and to work closely with other members of the Activities team and our elected Sabbatical Officers, while knowledge sharing with other unions and universities. This role is ideal for anyone who wishes to grow their existing hands-on experience of working with young people, students or volunteers, to promote and organise sports activities in a community environment and/ or within the education sector. The ideal candidate will have an enthusiastic and both high energy and calm approach to their work, with excellent organisation and communication skills. Candidates should be passionate about engaging and retaining people’s engagement in sport, have the ability to build relationships quickly and have a reputation for being reliable and trustworthy.
