Edinburgh University Sports Union (EU Sports Union) is the fully constituted student-run body that organises competitive sport at The University of Edinburgh. Edinburgh University is currently the premier sporting University in Scotland and has achieved 5th place in the British Universities and Colleges Sport’s end year rankings (for 2013-14). EU Sports Union caters for 63 clubs, ranging from Archery to Windsurfing.
Candidates for this exciting position should possess a Degree in a relevant subject or equivalent formal training, plus a minimum of 2 years’ hands-on experience in a similar or related role, whilst also possessing an in-depth understanding of the organisation/structure of British/Scottish Student Sport (BUCS/SSS), an understanding of UK Coach Education Systems and demonstrable experience of devising, monitoring and reviewing sport development plans.
You will also have excellent communications skills, and be proficient in leading staff teams, possess first class administration skills and have the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. A flexibility to working hours, including weekend work, is required along with independent working, prioritising your own workload and a passion for sport and exercise.
