JOB DESCRIPTION – STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING COACH
Salary Scales: £26,266.00 – £33,237.00 per annum.
Grade: Level 2e – 2i (All Sciences)
Hours of Work: Such hours as necessary to carry out your duties. This will involve a minimum of 37 hours per week and may include working outside normal office hours at evenings and weekends and on Public Holidays.
Location: The normal place of work is the Bisham Abbey National Sports Centre. The EIS may also from time to time require you to travel to, and work at, other offices / locations including working outside of the UK at GB Rowing Team (GBRT) training camps.
Fixed Term: Until 31st March 2021
ROLE SUMMARY
Great Britain was the leading Rowing nation at both the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Rio 2016. This is an exciting opportunity as GBRT work towards Tokyo 2020 and support the development of rowers capable of delivering in Paris 2024. The purpose of this role is to:
1.Lead the advancement of S&C practices at the World Class START centres and British Rowing HPPC’s through bespoke support to the Lead Coach or nominated contact.
2.Lead the delivery of S&C to the GBRT U23 Team and Rowers in the GBRT Performance Foundations Programme that supports their development and aids their transition in to the Senior Olympic programme.
