Greenhouse Sports aims to develop life skills for young people in London’s most disadvantaged communities through outstanding, intensive sports programmes delivered by inspirational coaches. We use the power of sport to inspire and motivate young people, so they can reach their full potential.
Our coaches work full time in mainstream secondary and Special Educational Needs (SEN) schools and community clubs to provide sport programmes across the capital that equip young people for life.
The Role:
We are looking to recruit a qualified, skilled Table Tennis Assistant Coach to support the Table Tennis Head Coach in the planning and delivery of a comprehensive programme of high quality table tennis coaching sessions and competitive matches for children and young people.
You will work under the guidance of the Greenhouse Sports Head management team, delivering coaching to a variety of young people with all different types of abilities and interest in table tennis, from beginner to elite level players. Coaching will be done on a one to one basis, small groups or larger class size groups and may be unsupervised at times.
As an Assistant Coach you will also take responsibility for all administration including health and safety risk assessments.
Greenhouse Sports is committed to Safeguarding & Child Protection and you will ensure that all policies and procedures are adhered to at all times; maintaining accurate records of all registered participants, staff and volunteers at all planned sessions.
The Person:
To be considered for this role you must hold a Table Tennis England UKCC Level 1 (or equivalent) coaching qualification. You will ideally have experience of coaching children and young people, preferably in a sports club, school or community setting and experience of working in an education environment.
You will be highly passionate about the Greenhouse Sports mission, values and beliefs and helping young people learn and develop.

Skills and ability testing will form part of the selection process.
