Our coaches work full time in mainstream secondary and Special Educational Needs (SEN) schools and community clubs to provide sport programmes across the capital that equip young people for life.
The Role
We are looking to recruit a qualified, skilled Table Tennis Head Coach to lead our existing programme at Compass School. Working closely with the PE Department, the role will be based full-time in the school and will include planning and delivering a comprehensive, high-quality coaching and mentoring programme.
You will plan and deliver breakfast, lunch time and afterschool clubs, peripatetic (1:1 or small groups) sessions, supporting some curriculum lessons (where agreed with the school) and develop regular competitive opportunities for all players. In addition, you will be required to develop holiday provision during half-terms and school holidays.
As a coach you will also work closely with the Impact Team to collect high-quality data to demonstrate the effectiveness of what we do and to quantify the difference we make to our young people. Data is collected at designated times throughout the year and includes; case studies, participant and coach questionnaires, skills and fitness testing. Our coaches also review the young peoples’ progress and set targets for their future development.

The Person:
To be considered for this role you must hold a Table Tennis England UKCC Level 2 (or equivalent) coaching qualification as a minimum and have experience of successfully delivering and managing top quality Table Tennis programmes for young people aged 11-19 years old in a school or club setting.
You will demonstrate strong mentoring skills and experience, as well as being a confident and capable IT user with excellent administrative and organisational skills needed to effectively plan and manage the programme and capture all relevant data in a timely manner.
You will be highly passionate about the Greenhouse Sports mission, values and beliefs and helping young people learn and develop.
