Team Operations and Administration Manager – Manchester United Football Club

Job Description
Purpose
To provide operational and administration support services to the MU Women’s Team acting as the main interface between the Women’s Team and the wider Club.

Key Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of the post are:
• To maintain efficiency of all football administration matters and ensures compliance for MU Women’s team with all governing body rules and regulations (i.e. Football Association and FIFA).
• To help the Club remain compliant and meets all deadlines as set by the regulatory/governing bodies.
• To help ensure all aspects are fully communicated to the Team Manager, Coaching Staff and other key stakeholders and advise relevant personnel of the Club’s obligations and responsibilities under the relevant regulations.
• To work with the General Manager to support the development of long-term strategies and business plans which help to grow and enhance the Club.
• To be responsible for the co-ordination of home matchday operations (liaising with Leigh Sports Village) on the provision of medical support, ball assistants, management of VIPs and hospitality areas, mascots, media accreditation and commercial activities.
• To act as the liaison between the Club and Leigh Sports Village safety/security teams regarding team and match arrangements
• To be responsible for the co-ordination of away travel of the MU Women’s Team and coaching staff including accommodation as required.
• To be responsible for updating and maintaining the weekly MU Women’s schedule of activity and sharing this with the appropriate personnel.
• To be responsible for reporting on a match to match basis, attendances, income, ticket sales, merchandise, commercial sales, sponsorship arrangements and other sales information.
• To produce up-date and maintain files incorporating all key MU Women’s information and statistics.
• To arrange and liaise with all away teams and match delegates and official/s for the MU Women’s Team fixture.
• To be the point of contact for all internal and external requests for media, commercial, marketing, and fixture related queries and ensure all pertinent information is communicated and cascaded effectively to the relevant personnel in a timely manner.
• General administration support and player/coaching staff liaison services (e.g. managing ticket applications, “Team United” events, managing internal and external requests for access to and meetings with players/coaching staff)

Essential Qualifications / Experience / Attributes
• GCSE (or equivalent) at grade C or above in both Maths and English or qualified by relevant experience.
• A full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Sport related or business management degree is desirable.
• Be able to communicate effectively within immediate and wider team.
• Ability to work under pressure and deadlines whilst being to prioritise workloads in a timely fashion.
• Must be able to demonstrate excellent administration skills.
• Demonstrable skills and abilities in an Executive PA or Executive Administration capacity.
• Excellent IT skills including the use of MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), Intranet/Web/Internet and Microsoft Outlook.
• Ability to apply attention to detail, to ensure that information is recorded, monitored and analysed appropriately.
• Ability to organise and administer events.
• Experience of data management tools e.g. PMA.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Awareness of diversity and equality challenges in football.
• Empathy and commitment to the long term development of the game.
• Exhibit pride in performance and possess high standards in the provision of service to Manchester United’s internal and external customers.

Safeguarding
Ensure compliance with the company’s safeguarding policy by completing the DBS process for work in a regulatory activity or at a regulatory environment.
Hours of Work
There are no set working hours and the employee will be required to work such times and such periods as are necessary for the proper fulfillment of their duties according to the operational requirements of the department or demands of the business.
