Job Description
To provide high level PA support to the Head of National Team Operations and Player Education Manager.
Key incompatibilities
● Provide high level administrative support to the Head of National Team Operations including high level diary support management, travel and hotel bookings and coordination of papers and agendas for meetings
● Provide high level administrative support to the Player Education Manager including high level diary support management, travel and hotel bookings and coordination of papers and agendas for meetings
● Provide the Head of National Team Operations and Player Education Manager with operational support, pre and during events and activities and providing full business support to all department strategy projects
● Responsibility for updating and maintaining the Department’s operating procedure with specific focus on standardising these procedures across all teams and ensuring best practice in all elements of work
● Lead on the ordering and distribution of new player induction material, alongside the ordering and distribution of representative international player caps across all Development Teams.
● Responsibility for fulfilling ball children obligations for the Senior Men’s and Women’s team, liaising with Wembley Event staff, Head Coaches, clubs and players to provide appropriate ball children opportunities for Development team players
● Support the delivery of the staff induction programme, in cooperation with the Head of National Team Operations
● Maintain the database of active Team Liaison Officers (TLO’s), to include the recruitment and training of TLO’s and allocation to forthcoming events
● Support camps and tournaments when needed by acting as Tournament Director, Match Day Manager and Team Liaison Officer
● Manage the stock levels and ordering of the gift store
● Update and maintain Team Operations’ databases and systems
● Represent the Team Operations Departments on working groups and forums as and when required
● Administer all Purchase Orders and assist in budget management
● To provide full support to all consultant staff to include supporting the process of new or extended consultancy agreements and to process expenses during the season
● Maintain and manage good relationships with key stakeholders to help develop The FA’s positive professional profile across the business both internally and externally.
● Execute additional tasks as required in order to meet FA Group changing priorities
Essential skills
● Substantial experience in a PA/Team Coordinator role
● Evidence of high level diary and scheduling management
● Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in all areas of work
● High levels of discretion; previous experience working with confidential information
● Excellent organisational & time management skills
● Flexible approach to working hours, and ability to work under pressure
● To be able to communicate to a high level with internal & external stakeholders at all levels
● Excellent MS Office Suite/Google Suite skills
Desirable skills
● Experience of working in events
● Proven negotiation skills
● Knowledge of Men’s / Women’s football structures
