Job Purpose (trade):
To develop and expand the Trade department with particular focus on the following:
to qualify and set up trade accounts based on Graham and Green policy
to have a clear understanding of the Graham and Green client base, to make sure the Graham and Green brand name is protected when qualifying trade accounts
to have a clear understanding of reference checking
to shape and develop Graham and Green’s back ordering policy based on company growth and business needs
to ensure the trade and showroom team are following the back order and account qualification policy
to ensure client appointments are met and dealt with to a high standard
to have a clear understanding of reactive and proactive selling, to ensure the trade team are meeting sales targets
proactive selling: responsible for going through unconfirmed sales quote to close the sale
reactive selling: all orders are processed and managed in a quick and efficient manner maintaining the highest customer level standards
to liaise with the relevant departments, providing all key/essential information to ensure all orders are completed correctly and to the trade client’s specifications
always being available for the Showroom seasonal change over
developing ongoing promotions, monthly newsletter ideas, trade shows and events
to be knowledgeable on the European Commission’s VAT standards and requirements
to develop Graham and Green’s terms and conditions annually based on company growth and business needs
Job purpose (showroom):
Your role will be to take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the showroom. Your key accountabilities are to develop a profitable store performance by motivating staff and ensuring that the highest levels of customer service are given at all times. As well as this the store must be visually merchandised to an excellent standard.
maintaining the Graham and Green image to the highest standards
ensure showroom displays are installed in a timely manner to company standards, liaising as necessary with the managing director
responsibility for stock management and ordering
reassess stock seasonally to maximise sales in relation to stock availability and seasonal launches
manage day-to-day operations in the store
to ensure that Graham and Green customers are extended the highest levels of customer service at all times
to deal promptly with customer complaints, liaising with customer services in order to resolve queries and escalate complaints/queries to the right level and department
the manager should be knowledgeable and familiar with all Graham and Green products they are selling so that they can effectively and accurately answer and assist any customer question or concern
drive sales and increase profitability
be aware of the daily, weekly and monthly targets
to work with the operations manager to improve the profitability of the department (i.e. reducing HR costs, reducing damages and replacements to customers, maximising sales at full price, etc)
have an in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Navision (processing a sale, returns, creating and amending a customer account, deposits, inter-branch transfers, back office, stock lookups, damages, ordering from suppliers, bar codes, end of day) and ensure that the team is up-skilled as necessary
Skills/knowledge/experience:
proven management experience in leading, motivating and developing a team
high end customer service and luxury retail experience
ability to work in a high paced environment and to multi-task, maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
computer savvy, experienced with till systems
exceptional communicator both written and verbal
proven sales and customer satisfaction record essential
familiarity with local market desirable
minimum two years’ managerial experience
