Transformation Manager – Southampton

The TAS
Hub is a significant national centre bringing together a world-leading diverse multidisciplinary team and building on a strong cross-institutional core team from University of Southampton, University of Nottingham and King’s College London. It is run by a consortium composed of over 30 academics and 60 partners. The £11.7m programme is funded by the UKRI’s Strategic Priorities Fund
The Hub’s goal is to deliver world-leading best practice for the design, regulation and operation of ‘socially beneficial’ autonomous systems which are both trustworthy in principle, and trusted in practice by individuals, society and government. The Hub will deliver in three strategic areas:
Research: a number of research programmes that aim to complement, synthesise, and augment the research done across the Hub.
Advocacy and Engagement: mechanisms for engagement and co-creation with the public, public sector actors, government, the third sector, and industry to help define best practices, assurance processes, and formulate policy.

Skills:
creating a structured pipeline for future leaders in TAS research and innovation with new training programmes and openly available resources for broader upskilling and reskilling in TAS.
As the Hub’s Transformation manager, you will have proven experience of planning and progressing marketing activities within professional guidelines and/ or organisational policy and of significant stakeholder engagement.

You will be responsible for:
Leading the planning and coordination of the TAS Hub’s marketing activities and overseeing the delivery of that marketing strategy.
Developing a social media marketing strategy in collaboration with academics and our partners
Coordinating a programme of events
Developing effective working relationships with TAS Hub partners, members of the advisory network, industrial and other relevant external organisations
Working with research and innovation services (at partner institutions) to identify appropriate exploitation opportunities and determine potential new domains for TAS Hub
Supporting tech transfer activities, including industry fellowships
Producing management information, reports, briefings and presentations to inform and update on Hub activities to our partners, nodes and the wider public
Actively seeking opportunities for outreach activities.
This is a full time position however part-time arrangements may be considered. This position is fixed term until 31 August 2024.
