equitysport, known currently as Harper Performance CIC, is entering a truly exciting new era and relaunching as a charitable incorporated organisation (CIO) in early 2020. As part of this transition, we are looking to recruit three new positions on the Board of Trustees to help make the charity’s vision a reality and be a pivotal part of plans to drive future growth and success.
equitysport is a small but hugely ambitious UK-based charity working across the Global South (particularly in sub-Saharan Africa) to level the playing field in world sport through locally-driven, accessible, relevant and sustainable interventions designed to tackle the most pronounced examples of inequity in sport.
We are looking for Trustees from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences but particularly welcome applications from younger professionals, those from the African diaspora and expat community and from those with a personal connection to our mission. You will have compelling experience gained in an executive and/or non-executive capacity within transformational change environments or possess a demonstrable, honed and relevant professional skillset.
We are particularly interested in hearing from people with experience and expertise in the following areas:

Finance.
Fundraising and income generation.
PR and media.
Advocacy and campaigning.
International development.
Experience of working in charitable and/or international development environments is also naturally welcome.
Our trustees will communicate and engage with the executive team, sharing their insights, experience and expertise to enable to the organisation to fulfil its purpose and goals.
As a free-thinking, innovative and strategic leader, you will have proven ability to provide real insight and make sound decisions at board level. With a flexible commitment of one day per month (remotely) and up to three board meetings per year, this position provides a clear opportunity to play a vital role at a key time within a progressive, forward-thinking organisation that strives to make a real difference to people’s lives and to global sport.
The positions are non-remunerated, but all reasonable travel expenses can be claimed.

How to apply
Applications will be accepted until the role is filled with interviews conducted throughout the recruitment process. Applications should include anything you believe will assist us with our decision-making process and sent to tim@harperperformance.co.uk
