Job Description
Title: FA Girls’ Regional Talent Club U10 Head Coach
Salary:£20.00 per session plus match day £35.00 (Mon: 5.30-7.30pm Wed 5.30-7.30pm plus match day – Sunday)
Location: Darwen Aldridge Community Academy plus match day venue
Responsible to:Technical Director
Purpose of post:To deliver practical football sessions in line with the Girls’ Regional Talent Club technical programme
Contract type: Seasonal
Start Date: July, 2016
Responsible for:
• The welfare of players within their designated age group
• Providing high quality coaching and support
• Implementing a training and games programme in line with LTPD guidelines
• To support the assistant coach with helping to lead the team.
Key skills and experience required: Essential
• FA Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Football
• FA Youth Award – Module 1 and 2 and must be willing to attend Module 3 if not already done so.
• FA Licensed
• A recognised First Aid Qualification (BFAS Essential)
• Knowledge and understanding of child protection issues including holding a current FA Safeguarding Children Workshop certificate
• An accepted Enhanced FA CRB (DBS)
• Experience in coaching girls’ football
• An understanding of current Regional Talent Club structures
• Have knowledge and understanding of child development and be sensitive to children’s needs
• Willingness to work weekends and training events when required
• Own transport essential
Desirable
• An understanding of Talent Identification
• An appreciation of Long Term Player Development
• Attended the FA Youth Coaches Course
• Knowledge and understanding of working with young players
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Understanding of the FA girls & women’s player pathway
• Qualified to drive a mini bus (MIDAS Trained)
