Job Description
If you take pride in supporting the development of young people and can fuel their enthusiasm for sport and learning, then you could be a valuable member of our welfare team – responsible for the safety and well being of young players on our camps. Some of the responsibilities include:
•Being a part of creating a safe and positive environment which supports players learning whilst having fun
•Supporting and inspiring our young players in all aspects of camp life outside the classroom and off the sports field.
•Ensuring players are happy, safe, learning and engaged in camp life.
•Living in the boarding houses with the players, eating with them, encouraging them and helping to create and run the evening activities programme
•Assisting the senior welfare staff to deal with and record players’ medical, home-sickness or welfare problems. Training will be provided.
This role is suited to energetic people who enjoy working with children, enjoy sports, can demonstrate a passion for youth development, and are looking to start a career in teaching, sports or related industries. We are looking for people who are friendly, proactive, approachable and can contribute to a positive team working environment. Any previous experience working with children is also helpful.
All our roles are residential; food and accommodation are provided throughout the entire period of employment. The minimum commitment we ask for from staff is two consecutive weeks however, as our camps across July and August, there is opportunity to work for up to seven weeks.
