Job Description
We are looking to recruit a Physio to join West Bromwich Albion Women Football Club. This is a zero-hour contract running in line with the 2020/21 season. It is anticipated you will be required to work two training sessions plus a matchday each week, with an average of 6-10 weekly hours. This is a casual (Zero hour) contract and you will submit timesheets.

Purpose: The post holder will be responsible for the safety, rehabilitation, injury prevention and therapy for all players in the Senior setup at WBAWFC.
Responsible to: Head of Women’s & Girls Football

Duties & Responsibilities:
– To deliver a minimum of 6 hours of service per week, including 1.5hours x 2 evenings of training, and 3 hours on a game day.
– To provide physiotherapy services to all players.
– To promote and protect the health and well-being of all players.
– To monitor and assess all players for their fitness and injury status to train or play.
– To assess, diagnose, treat and rehabilitate all injuries and illnesses, analysing and designing the safest and quickest strategy to ensure a full return to training.
– To be responsible for pitch-side assessment and treatment of players during training and matches.
– To provide injury rehabilitation training of players, in conjunction with the S and C Coach, in preparation for return to play.
– To communicate injury status, rehabilitation strategies and return to training projections to the management team on a daily basis.
– To maintain accurate and updated medical records of all WBAWFC players.
– To conduct an annual audit of injuries and provide reports as requested by WBAWFC management team.
– To ensure all medical supplies and equipment are fully stocked, replenished and secured as required.
– To undertake appropriate professional development to keep abreast of industry best practice, especially in highlighted areas of weakness.
– Delivering the relevant reports and attend the relevant meetings as requested by the Chairman of WBA FC Women
– Maintain relevant personal CPD to retain coaching and education qualifications and to develop your personal knowledge for the benefit of both yourself, WBA FC & The Albion Foundation

Any changes arising will take into account salary and status. They will also be subject to discussion with individuals or sections within the organisation.
