Job Description
We are recruiting a coach to lead our new Girls FA Wildcats Centre sessions in Runcorn, Cheshire.
As the lead coach you job will:
• Be the point of contact for delivery of all Wildcats sessions at the centre sessions
• Team lead the Wildcats coaching team
• Ensure sessions are staffed
• Mentor volunteer junior Wildcats coaches
• Plan, prepare and deliver coaching sessions under the direction of the FA’s Wildcat programme
• Assist the centre to increasing numbers of participants in the sessions
• Help to actively promote the sessions.
• Attend FA Wildcats conference at St Georges Park – travel expenses covered by the centre
• Be responsible for all Runcorn Wildcats Centre equipment
• To undertake any other appropriate duties as may be allocated from time to time in accordance with the general nature of the post.
About the Centre:
The Football Association and SSE teamed up to launch a new initiative in 2017, SSE Wildcats, which was designed to inspire girls aged between 5-11 to be involved in the sport.
Runcorn Wildcats Girls’ Football Centre’s provide girls with regular opportunities to play football and take part in organised sessions in a fun and engaging environment created exclusively for girls. Over 1,250 centres have been established across England and more licenses are being granted for April 2020 running to end of December 2020.
Along with the team you will be involved in planning & delivering FUN sessions, recruiting participants, centre promotions and attend FA ran Wildcats conferences.

To apply candidates need to:
Minimum FA Level 1 or above
Previous experience of coaching Foundation level football with the ability to take on a lead role
Be enthusiastic about girls football coaching and the future growth of the sport
Be a great communicator
Have the ability to create and deliver structured, age appropriate football coaching session plans under the direction of the FA’s Wildcats programme.
Be forward thinking, have a creative flair and a real want to work with and coach girls at various age groups
The successful candidate will report into the Clubs Development Officer where you will be supervised and supported.
ALL CANDIDATES MUST COMPLETE AN ONLINE DBS CHECK BEFORE STARTING AND PROVIDE A VALID FAN NUMBER.
All coaches are expected to undertake further training as required and comply with FA First Aid & Safeguarding accreditations (certification renews will be covered by the centre).
