Women’s Cycling Project Manager – British Cycling – Manchester

Job Description

British Cycling is now well-established as the leading sports governing body in this country, thanks to an astonishing range of successes across the Olympic and Paralympic Games, World Championships and the creation and successes of Team Sky.

But it is not just there that we have delivered. Our participation programmes have continued to thrive and we are transforming participation in cycling across Britain with over 1.7 million new regular participants recruited since we launched our mass participation programme, Sky Ride, in 2009. This pattern of growth has been mirrored in women’s cycling where we have influenced over 250,000 more women to cycle regularly, on track to achieve 1 million more women influenced to cycle by 2020.

Looking to the future, our challenge is to continue to thrive in this new era and expand in a sustainable manner, making the most of the opportunities offered to us. More women than ever before, in every walk of life, now know more about cycling and want to get involved. We are determined to welcome them, encourage them and work with them to move our sport forward.

This role will provide strong project management for both Breeze and British Cycling’s women’s cycling projects including the growth of Breeze across the home nations, the further development of the Breeze programme and cross organisational women’s cycling plans.

Specific responsibilities include implementing the Breeze strategy, supporting the British Cycling Women’s Strategy Group, supporting the activation of programmes with relevant commercial sponsors and cycling stakeholders to deliver growth in women’s cycling and analysing female cycling performance data to identify challenges and implement solutions.
