Job Description
The RFU is currently recruiting for a Women’s Performance Operations Manager to assist the Head of Performance ( Women’s) with the management and operational delivery of the performance pathway. The role will provide an effective and efficient administration service to the Women’s Performance Operations team, including PA support to the Head of Women’s Performance. They will be responsible for the management of the Team Operations Managers and ensure delivery of women’s performance strategy against set targets. They will also support the delivery of England Women’s International matches including managing the resource production, VIP, ticketing, volunteer support and liaison with internal and external stakeholders. The role will also manage the support given to Premiership Clubs including arranging meetings, review against criteria, referee provision and shadowing days and training.
Other Key Responsibilities Include:
• Monitoring and reporting on feedback from players and staff across all programmes
• Oversee Processing of departmental finances for players and performance staff and identified delivery
• Medical Management Administration
• Player Handbook coordination
• Player contract management
• Rugby Squad Management – Adding Staff, Liaison EIS & Reports
• Overall management of women’s kit
• Manage the volunteering programme at large scale events featuring an England Women’s representative side
• Support coaches and medics with regular CPD and opportunities to shadow at England training camps
• Support and maintain the Host Site for the upload of match footage and ensure correct usage by the clubs
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate significant experience of working within a project management/ event co-ordination role and will be able to work effectively in a corporate environment. Previous experience of working with elite athletes and an understanding of professional high performance sport is essential as is a practical understanding of the local sporting landscape in England. They will have experience in working with groups, preferably touring rugby teams, and experience of people management and overseeing a team. Strong experience of budget management is also required.
The role requires an effective communicator who is highly effective in administrative planning, logistical support, and strategy implementation and development. They must demonstrate a “can do” proactive attitude and be able to provide solutions to problems or issues. They will be a good team player who is adaptable and very reliable and able to demonstrate the highest professional standards of operation and service. The successful candidate will also be a skilful and diplomatic negotiator.
