Are you able to push the envelope creatively whilst maintaining focus on the audience and campaign objectives?
About us
We’re UCAS, the organisation responsible for managing over 2.5 million applications to higher education courses in the UK for some 650,000 prospective students across the UK and beyond every year. We are a firmly established group of professionals from diverse backgrounds who believe in going that extra-mile to help learners and higher education providers beat the odds, generating a quantum leap in admissions. We also run several specialist services to include research, consultancy, and advisory work for schools, colleges, career services, professional bodies and commercial businesses.
About the role
UCAS has embarked on a new phase of its journey, with a top down culture shift towards an agile way of working across the business to embed a culture of digital acceleration The UCAS Marketing Department has led the charge to connect to our learners through new digital channels, and we want to take the development and stretch the brand further through the production of highly creative, engaging and innovative campaigns across our collateral and to expand our digital capacity and capabilities.
Our marketplace is a diverse and expanding universe, and now more than ever we need to reach people outside of our traditional sphere of influence. We need to be at the heart of education, and the brand supported with creative which enable it to grow in a credible way into these existing and new adjacent markets.
To deliver this aspiration, we need someone with the necessary knowledge, experience and skills to push us further and faster along this digital journey.
There’s a growing appetite for searchable, on-demand video content across the web. We know video is at the core of online media consumption among 16-24 year olds and that is why we are launching a new, native video content channel within ucas.com. The channel will host content from UCAS about the application process, but also from relevant third parties.
We are hiring a Digital Content Editor who will develop and maintain the content plan for this channel, and manage the uploading and display of videos. They will be responsible for ensuring that the content remains balanced and relevant to the audience and that the channel is meeting the needs of both the user and the commercial partners.
The Digital Content Editor needs to:
Develop and proactively maintain a comprehensive content plan for the video channel – incorporating both commercial, UCAS and third party content
Use a CMS and online video platform with a high degree of competency to ensure video content is uploaded, tagged and optimised for delivery.
Maintain close operational relationships with all parties to ensure regular refreshing of engaging content within each of the key themes of content.
Produce and act upon analytics to understand and communicate how content is performing.
