Editor – European Business Magazine / Digital / Events
Our client is looking for an editor with experience in print, digital and events for a European business magazine that provides news, commentary, analysis, case studies and thought leadership on corporate strategy, risk and regulatory issues. This is a highly visible and interactive media brand that caters for a discerning business community so you will need to be a brand ambassador and comfortable speaking at events.
You will need to be commercially minded, be an excellent communicator and have a proven track record of managing editorial teams. You will need to be highly effective with digital as well as print media, with the editorial flair to create thoughtful, compelling content for the web, mobile and social media plus excellent organisational skills so that deadlines are met and content is produced on time and within budget. The ideal candidate should therefore have excellent reporting, writing and web skills, be an expert project manager, and be extremely self-motivated. Experience of editing and writing about corporate finance and business is essential as would being familiar with interviewing business leaders in person and by phone. Specific knowledge about corporate law, compliance and risk especially within Europe or experience of writing for a European audience would be advantageous.
Requirements:
At least five years or more of experience editing and publishing online content is essential
Experience of working with a content management system, google analytics or related tools
Experience of editing business magazines, commissioning writers
Excellent news reporting, writing and editing skills
Good understanding of content curation
Knowledge about producing event content.
Experience of presenting at or chairing industry events
Excellent people skills
The role is located in London within an office environment but some remote working is feasible.
