Editor, FoodNavigator – William Reed Business Media – Crawley, England

If it matters to the European food industry, it matters to FoodNavigator, Europe’s number 1 daily news champion (audited).

We seek a dynamic UK-based editor to lead a team of talented journalists, drive content in multiple formats and attend events as the face of FoodNavigator. This is an initial 12 month fixed term maternity cover role with the potential to be extended.

Whether it is the latest category-busting innovation from a food major like Nestlé – or a start-up; a regulatory action on kids’ food marketing; the latest science on taste perceptions or sugar reducing formulations; or an update from the organic fields, FoodNavigator is there providing the most in-depth coverage, fast.

We’re after someone as comfortable talking food policy with a Member of the European Parliament as a food scientist discussing lipophilic profiles in foodstuffs.

Someone that can understand the dynamics of fat taxes or peer into the world of lab-grown meat or the use of insects as food sources.

Someone that can chair a conference or help compile a conference programme.

Someone that understands the nuanced importance of social media to the food industry and to FoodNavigator.

Someone that can engage in strategic thinking to keep driving the site forward and keeping it relevant to a fast-changing industry driven by a wide array of stakeholders.

Someone that can work with multiple teams to achieve these goals.
