WI Life, the national membership magazine of the Women’s Institute, is seeking an exceptional Editorial Assistant. The ideal candidate is someone who is able to perform administrative tasks to a high standard but is also keen to develop their writing skills. This role will support both the editorial and advertising teams.
Ideally you will hold a degree in English or have proven equivalent experience. A NCTJ qualification would be helpful. You will need to be able to demonstrate your first rate organisational and clerical skills. The administration side of the role includes answering the telephone, updating the membership database, filing, providing secretarial support to the Editor along with preparing the invoice spreadsheet and copy chasing for the advertising team.
We are seeking someone who is full of bright ideas and starting out in magazine journalism and who has the confidence to write news stories and the odd feature.
