GlobalCapital, a capital markets news service from Euromoney Institutional Investor, is looking for two ambitious and fast-learning graduates looking to become financial journalists to join its editorial team in London.
The successful candidates will write daily news articles in addition to longer, more analytical pieces for the weekly print edition while at the same time taking part in Euromoney’s renowned six month graduate training scheme.
A deep knowledge of capital markets is not essential, but an enthusiasm for finance and a willingness to learn quickly is. We are looking for dynamic individuals who will chase down leads and break stories — an outgoing manner and strong interpersonal skills are essential.
You will be in contact with senior financiers and officials from day one, both over the phone and in one-on-one meetings. You will hold regular meetings with senior market participants to find breaking and interesting news stories tailored to the GlobalCapital readership both in the UK and overseas.
There will also be the opportunity to attend international conferences, to build contacts and break stories.
There is also the opportunity to earn extra income writing for supplements, which GlobalCapital publishes regularly.
How to apply
Interested candidates should send a cover letter, CV and any writing samples to the editor, Ralph Sinclair at ralph.sinclair@globalcapital.com
