Head of Media Relations – energy

As the head of media relations you will protect and promote the reputation of both up and down stream activities for this leading energy company.  You will develop and deliver group wide media relations activity, including financial PR, and support group businesses in the UK and overseas with proactive media campaigns.  As the head of media relations you will own and develop an effective communications planning grid which will be utilised across all corporate affairs functions: media relations, internal communications, digital, events, community relations and public affairs.

As an experienced media relations practitioner you can demonstrate:

–       experience of successfully managing challenging media to achieve balanced, accurate media coverage

–       the ability to develop proactive campaigns to engage the media and other key stakeholders

–       a flexible influencing style, credibility across a broad range of stakeholders and excellent written communication skills

–       the ability to plan ahead and think strategically

–       Knowledge of the energy sector
