Our client, a leading provider of information in the global healthcare and pharmaceutical environment is looking for an Investigative Journalist. This is an exciting role and you will need a scientific or medical background, a proven interest in journalism and knowledge of the pharmaceutical and biotech sector.
Key duties:
Cover all aspects of drug development, approval and marketing
Report on various aspects of the pharmaceutical and biotech sector and general industry trends
Source, research and produce accurate news and features on a daily basis
Attend national and international industry events and build up strong relationships with contacts
Experience / skills required:
A scientific background is essential, a journalism background as well would be ideal
Demonstrable understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and the R&D landscape
Proven ability to come up with off-diary story generation, investigatory reporting or breaking news
Previous experience on a daily or weekly publication preferable.
Excellent communication, networking, writing and interviewing skills
Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment
Ability to work independently as well as in a team
A foreign language would be a bonus
