Further information
Are you a writer and mum/dad with a newborn baby? Or perhaps you’re a journalist with one on the way?
MadeForMums website is the market leader in professional baby gear reviews in the UK parenting industry. We’re looking for good writers and journalists who can write reviews for new products coming to the market. You could be giving your critique on the latest buggy of choice or give this year’s must-have highchair the once-over.
The pregnancy and baby gear market is fast-growing so we’re building our roster of reviewers to write about the many products launching. We want to hear from mums or dads who understand the needs of our readers because they share similar experiences and situations.
The successful candidate will have a background in journalism/writing or experience working within a digital environment. You’ll have excellent writing skills and be able to write to deadlines.
You’ll be expected to do background research into products and you’ll be comfortable with a camera, taking those product shots and videos parents really want to see.
As well as powerful writing and thorough critical skills, you’ll be able to cut through the marketing hype to unearth the need-to-know information for our savvy mums.
MadeForMums prides itself on having the best independent reviews of parenting products around, with rigorous real-life testing and lots of behind-the-scenes research.
If you think you can write reviews that are easy-to-read and snappy but at the same time impartial and in-depth, then MadeForMums would love to hear from you.
Please send samples of your writing work and include any other writing experience you have. Please apply with your CV, a covering letter and examples of work.
Experience of working in parenting is not necessary, but you will need to demonstrate a genuine desire to share your experiences to become a Made For Mums reviewer in pregnancy and baby gear.
This is not a paid position, however, as a reviewer you will be able to keep all products you test.
Unfortunately due to an anticipated high volume of applications, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
