Legal Business, the leading title for the world’s top commercial lawyers, is recruiting a news editor or deputy news editor.

We are looking for experienced candidates who have at least three years of business reporting experience to help manage our news output and continue driving the dramatic increases in our online traffic.

We will consider candidates who are already news editors on another title or senior reporters ready to move up to the next level. As such we will consider making an initial appointment as deputy news editor, to be promoted within six months to full news editor.

Prior experience of the legal industry is not essential, though obviously a plus. A commitment to contact-driven, off-diary journalism, high standards and an interest in business and the City is a must. The successful applicant will be working on news and analysis across online and iPad and a glossy monthly print title. The role comes with a competitive salary depending on experience, a supportive team environment and an attractive central London location.
