Regulatory Reporters – MLex / LexisNexis UK – London

Business newswire MLex is hiring junior regulatory reporters for its London and Brussels offices to cover bribery and corruption (London) and antitrust (Brussels).

Candidates should have as many as possible of the following:

Experience of working in a newswire-style environment
A track record of breaking news
Knowledge of regulatory environments (EU/UK, rulemaking/enforcement)
Mother-tongue English
Excellent writing skills

Other European languages would be an advantage.

Eligibility to work in the UK/EU a must.

The roles will entail

On-the-job mentoring and training by seasoned senior correspondents
Supporting the senior correspondents in case and article research
Own-initiative reporting and writing
Phone and face-to-face interviews with senior regulators, lawyers and executives
Attending and writing up events and court hearings
Some travel

Salary competitive based on experience.
