C&IT (Conference & Incentive Travel) is looking for a talented multi-media reporter with at least one year’s experience to join its award-winning editorial team.

Core responsibilities include reporting on the dynamic meetings and incentives industry in the UK and overseas, writing daily news and sourcing exclusive stories for the website and email bulletins.

The reporter will also be expected to write industry analysis, destination features and contribute to the brand’s flagship special reports.

The right candidate must have a strong news sense, the ability to turn around accurate stories quickly and a good understanding and passion for social media and digital channels.

The reporter will be expected to build a strong contacts book and industry profile and contribute to the brand’s social media feeds.

Creating regular video content for the website and getting to grips with web analytics will also be part of the role.

The role includes attendance at C&IT’s own live events, industry trade shows and evening events as well as regular overseas travel – C&IT’s previous reporters have globe-trotted their way from Amsterdam to Abu Dhabi in search of the best stories.

Person Specification:
You must have:
Previous experience working as a reporter on a news desk
The ability to source and produce daily exclusive news stories
Excellent communication skills
Quick and accurate writing skills
The ability to work under time constraint
Be familiar with social media platforms including Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook
Be comfortable in front of the camera and ready to present at events

The role will report in to the brand’s associate editor, with a remit to contribute to both news and features.
