An opportunity has arisen for a Reporter to join APM Health Europe, a part of Wilmington plc.
APMHE is a subscription based news wire focusing on healthcare business news affecting the European pharmaceutical marketplace.
APM has a reputation for editorial independence and unbiased investigative journalism. We employ over 30 full time specialist healthcare journalists. APMHE covers a wide range of subjects including market access, health policy, competitor activity, drug safety, pricing and reimbursement issues as well as other areas of interest within the pharmaceutical industry in Europe.
APMHE readers include senior executives within pharmaceutical companies, patient associations, medical associations, European regulators, investment banks, PR companies and consultancies.
The successful candidate will be educated to degree level in a relevant subject and have proven experience of reporting healthcare news, a good knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and medical/scientific research, and have successfully undertaken the following:
News reporting
Interviewing
Researching diverse topics
Adding value to stories by including additional third party/company comment, context.
Spotting audience based stories
Writing for defined readership
Sub-editing
Proofreading
Basic editing
Sourcing and developing reliable contacts
He/she will also need excellent IT skills and the ability to work as part of a small team with colleagues in London and overseas reporters and translators. There will be an occasional need to attend conferences both in the UK and overseas.
