RT UK is looking for a TV correspondent to join its talented team in central London.
Education to degree level, a minimum of 2 years experience working for a TV News organisation is essential, together with an in-depth knowledge of politics, history and culture of both the UK and the rest of the world. Applicants must be fluent English speakers and have the right to work in the UK.
The successful candidates will be dynamic, energetic and required to produce and report news and current affairs content to extremely tight deadlines. They will demonstrate great editorial judgement, strong writing and presentation skills. Occasional travel and work on weekends and bank holidays might be required.
RT UK expects employees to go above and beyond what is required of the role in order to produce a visually creative and factually accurate news broadcast for our audiences across the UK.
Candidates will be expected to maintain personal effectiveness in times of pressure, setbacks or when dealing with tough situations.
We are looking for candidates who are eager to expand their horizons and open to learning new ways of delivering information.
RT UK is the sister channel of RT, an English-language 24-hour international TV news channel. We seek to bring an alternative news agenda to our audiences across Britain, delivering stories often missed by the mainstream media to create news with an edge.
