We’re recruiting for a video journalist to make our daily news and current affairs show for Freeview and a global online audience.
Cambridge TV aims to make the most of the experts, entrepreneurs, artists and researchers in this amazing city, using them to tell stories about local and global issues to a highly intelligent audience.
Our video journalists will shoot news packages for Cambridge TV, and we’ll be contracted to share the rushes of three stories per day with BBC Cambridgeshire, which may be used on BBC regional TV, radio and web or national BBC channels.
VJs will alternate between filming location reports and writing/hosting the daily news show from Cambridge TV’s studios.
These positions are a rare opportunity for ambitious journalists to demonstrate their location reporting, studio interviewing and news anchoring skills on an Ofcom licensed Freeview channel with global appeal through the Cambridge brand.
We’re recruiting for full-time VJs, paid according to experience, to begin in May and June. Candidates should be prepared to relocate to the Cambridge area if not local. We’re prepared to consider a job share for one of the posts.
