Academy Physiotherapist (Casual Contract) – Queens Park Rangers Football Club – London

Job Description

Queens Park Rangers FC Academy Physiotherapy Department is seeking a number of physiotherapists to join the team of Casual Physiotherapists to provide pitch side first aid / sports trauma management for the 6-15 year old Academy players across multiple sites in West London.

This position is a casual role and would suit enthusiastic physiotherapists who wish to gain experience in an elite sports environment.

You will need to have a degree of flexibility and generally be available to cover a session two evenings per weekday (5:30pm – 8:00pm), a session on Saturday morning (8:30am – 12:00am), and match days on Sunday mornings. Depending on experience, there may also be opportunities to cover other matches / training sessions, as well as going on tours (national and international) and working in the injury clinics.

ESSENTIAL
• CSP / HPC registered
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Up to date first aid qualification (First Aid for Sport / First Aid in the Workplace or equivalent) and pitch side trauma training (Medical Gases / Defibrillator)
• Be able to easily commute to venues around Middlesex
• Be able to work at least two days of cover during school holidays / half term periods.
• FA safeguarding qualification (or in the process of completing)

DESIRABLE
• Previous experience working as a Physiotherapist within a youth sporting environment
• Previous experience in providing pitch side first aid
• Advanced or Intermediate Trauma Training (e.g. AREA / IFAS)
• NHS / Private practice experience

As part of the selection process you will be required to undergo a Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check.
