You will provide physiotherapy cover to scholarship and academy players for both training and matches. Scholarship sessions will run Monday evenings, Saturday mornings, approximately 10 games in season, plus additional paid academy sessions. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work with the first team squad and staff as often as they wish. The role will require you to work autonomously, however you will have full mentorship and support from academy and first team medical staff. The key responsibilities are to:
• Provide pitch-side first aid at all scholarship training and games, and occasional academy sessions
• Assess and treat academy players in a professional manner to the best of your ability
• Maintain accurate clinical notes on the online system to CSP standards
• Report to Head Academy Physiotherapist and Head of Youth Development, and liaise with coaching staff regarding the injury status of players
• Be aware of and adhere to child protection/safeguarding issues

Essential:
• Chartered physiotherapist
• HPC and CSP registered
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Full driving license, ideally with own car

Desirable:
• Previous experience working within a youth sporting environment, not necessarily as a physiotherapist
• Sports experience as a student physiotherapist or new graduate
• IMMOPF or ICIS qualification

This position is available only to fully qualified and chartered physiotherapists. Applicants with Sports Massage or Sports Rehab qualifications will not be considered.

Salary for the role is £5,000 per year, with additional payment for cover of academy sessions and games where needed.

Training and home games are based at the Select Security Stadium, Lower House Lane, Widnes, WA8 7DZ.
